Nintendo DSi Gaming Console, at a Glance.

Nintendo DSiNintendo DSi is a handheld game system created by Nintendo and released between 2008 and 2009. Nintendo DSi was the seventh-generation console and the third iteration of Nintendo DS though there is newer version also available in market - Nintendo DS or Dual Screen as it stands for, has been out for over four years and now has the last of the clan Nintendo DSi XL model.

Nintendo DSi is 12% thinner and wider than the DS Lite, which means the user feels more solid while holding it. All these tiny details translate to a device that feels infinitely more comfortable in adult hands. In terms of hardware specs, there are a few notable upgrades from the previous versions. Nintendo DSi screens are 17% bigger than the last DS, each measuring 3.25-inches across (up from 3-inches flat), resolution wise it’s only 256 x192. DSi features two .3MP cameras (one facing front, one back) that take shots to internal memory or newly-supported SD cards.

Nintendo DS Lite

The new Nintendo DSi XL is presented in friendly user interface, and unlimited possibilities of games and downloadable content. Nintendo DSi come equipped with its own online shop which sells DSi Ware. Nintendo DSi engines comes equipped with loads of . From the main screen, you can take a picture at any time by pressing the L or R shoulder buttons. From screen you can toggle which camera you'd like to use, too. Nintendo DSi uses a different charger than the DS Lite.

DSi Newer version:

The new DSi XL is a super-sized version of the DSi, with is 93% larger with improved screens and viewing angles and fantastic battery life. It's a shame that the two cameras haven't received a resolution boost.

DSi or DSi XL:

The Nintendo DSi XL is larger than the DSi but otherwise pretty much the same. Unless you're desperate for more touch screen real estate or your vision is impaired, we'd recommend you opt for the cheaper DSi

Who knows the next Nintendo model brings built space to play mp3 files and images from the SD card as you insert. At the same time we should remember that Nintendo is user oriented and hit after just four and a half years since its initial release, Nintendo has sold more than 100 million Nintendo DSi units worldwide. Do remember that Sony PlayStation (PSP), which is widely regarded as a commercial success, has only reached around 50 million in sales.
