Sony Corporation Sales and Market Growth.

Sony Corporation has described its Annual profit as $290 million as of June 30 though it suffered from a $296 million loss in the same quarter last year, with sales rising 4% to $19.5 billion in that time frame. We should keep in mind Bravia LCD Tv which has shown 60 % growth. • After having spent the entire four years to get balance in the accounts, the PlayStation Move. 2.4 million PS3s as opposed to the 1.1 million Sony sold in April to June 2009 (there are now 38 million PS3s worldwide)
• 1.9 million PCs (800,000 more than in the same quarter 2009)

On the other side the Social Media Network sevenload.com have become official partner on all Sony products with the BRAVIA Internet Video function.

According to Sony Corporation declaration SONY PS3 life-to-date sales statistics are at 38.1 million Sold units worldwide, putting the system approximately 3.6 million units behind global sales of Microsoft’s Xbox 360.

On the flip side, PSP sales declined from the previous year, shifting 1.2 million units during the first quarter compared to 1.3 million back in 2009. Elsewhere, PS2 continued to show there’s life in the old dog yet, moving 1.6 million units

Play Station Network in trouble

Since midnight, many Playstation 3 owners have problems getting connected to Sony's online gaming platform Playstation Network. Sony confirms itself the problem and promises to keep users informed about the current status of Twitter.

Speculation that the console may have problems with the calculation of leap year - perhaps trying to set the date to 29 February and 1 March while.

It looks at least appear that there are problems with the date - when you try to link to the Playstation Network, reset the date to 31.12.1999.

Only the old PS3 version suffer from the problems, while the new Slim version with 120 and 250 GB hard drive would not be affected.
